The Missing Sixteen

Counting is a big thing for Carolyne these days. Truthfully, she’s always liked to count, but she’s very pleased to count her way to 20 now, with a big finish when she reaches her goal: “Twennnnnnnteee!” Except for poor 16. For some reason, Carolyne usually skips 16 without a beat. We’re not sure why or whether she even realizes she’s doing it, but it’s just “14, 15, 17″ and onwards. So, no 16. I’ll have to remind her of this when her 16th birthday approaches.
