White House and Hazardous Waste

Among the things you can do on the redesigned White House web site is “check to see which hazardous wastes are in your neighborhood.” I always did suspect the folks down the street of harboring some toxic stuff. Give the administration a little credit for trying to position the WH site as an entry point to the federal government, but in its haste to provide a site that’s readable with just about anything, they made it look, well, as amateurish as mine (check out that box at the top!). Maybe even moreso.
